Comments

“Ken Anbender’s collages, paintings and sculptures speak to the power of his visual imagination.

The combination of eroticism, landscape, and disparate references border between the familiar and the indecipherable resisting identification to any specific narrative.

In their sophisticated color and sense of effortless creation is a work exquisitely made.

Ken Anbender’s art places us at the intersection of visual culture and human imagination with a penchant for the unpredictable.”

–Laurie Thomas, NYC artist featured at Miami Basel

“Anbender’s photocollages touch on personal, social, and technological themes in mysterious, sometimes disturbing, always intriguing compositions.”

— John Carlos Cantu, Art Critic, Ann Arbor News

“Ken Anbender’s work is wonderful. There is plenty of variety, and his use of color and form is fantastic. At first glance, some of the collages seem like Surreal paintings, but on closer look, you can see the cuts….His work is terrific stuff.”

— David Halliday, Power of H Weblog author, poet

“Kenneth Anbender invites us into his alternate reality of dreamscapes and dreamworlds, where things seem simultaneously familiar and alien. His bold compositions almost convince us of the reality of these absurd new realms. Take a moment to let go of the expected, and enjoy this surrealist ( or ” super real”) suggestion of what could be, if we’d only take a moment to look closer.”

— Oliver Art Center
